"The Heaviness of Ghosts" Page Layout
For this project, I designed the exterior and interior layouts of The Heaviness of Ghosts while collaborating with a team of editors at Wolfson Press at IUSB. I developed the book cover and all interior spreads. Working within the American Storytellers series style guide, I applied consistent typography, formatting, and layout decisions to create a cohesive reading experience that balanced the series' established visual identity with the needs of the book's content.

This was the stage where I was placing the bare minimum necessities on the page, just so I wouldn't have to look at a blank slate. This stage was too playful.
I start playing with the line spacing, while adding in more requested text elements. At this point, after many attempts, I start seeing if I can work the text over the stack of books in a way that will respect the art while making the front cover look final.
